Changelog
v0.15.5.1
Features
- Pubic hair toggle: for real this time! You get the option to set whether body hair will be visible in the character creator for the relevant animated and static sprites where it will be featured.
Changes
- SFW mode toggle now won’t show NSFW indicators if guided mode is active, since the guide hint is already telling you if it leads to a lewd scene
- Save thumbnails for saves are much smaller now. Makes the save and load menu load faster.
- We now have save version checkers! This means that all saves before this update are no longer usable out of necessity. We may require you to start a new save if we have to make a sizeable change in the game’s code
Bugfixes
- A multitude of typos
- Fixed voice audio not playing during lewd animated CGs
- Fixed animations not playing for people in dialogue
- Fixed the loading of point and click spaces, before it would erroneously load the last dialogue until the end instead of just the point and click map, which could cause problems
- Guided mode hints now display properly! I’ve also changed how it is presented, so it’s more pleasant on the eye
- Fixed the logic of the end-of-episode summary at the hotel room so Isaac reflects more accurately on what actually happened
- Fixed an issue with the fonts where outlines were absent where it shouldn’t be
- Fixed an unintended behaviour where on some transitions away from point & click spaces, the player would get a white flash from the background image behind the clickable space being white
- Fixed Lewd CG animation bug with Hazel where he would speak with his mouth full.
- Fixed text error for which fling you had at the Galli during bathroom scene with Hazel, as well as which pronoun is used
- Fixed a bug that caused Jamie to not reappear after the lewd scene
- Fixed the page turn sound playing twice when opening the save or load screen from within the options menu
- Fixed an issue with transitioning between certain CGs where the image would go transparent for swaps instead of fade to black
Planned for next hotfix:
- The Gallery!
- Save Menu update: More save slots, save naming, and deleting
- More precise SFW mode slider – toggle between nsfw, warning for lewd scenes, and skip lewd scenes completely (streamer mode)
- Point and click sequence at Cafe Estro!
- Fix arms snapping between the front and back of body
- A screenshot button that saves a 1080p screenshot
- More visible clickable buttons in point-and-click mode
- probably something else I forgot…
v0.15.5
New Content
- Script Refresh
- 9,277 words added. (37,997 total)
- 2 Hours 30 Minutes Gameplay Total
New Features
- SFW Mode Added
- Alerts people that a choice will lead to a lewd scene to either help you avoid or pursue it. (helpful for streamers or romantics)
- Future hotfix will make this even more communicative, with settings for how aggressively you want it to warn you about upcoming content
- Backer Guided Mode
- Special Mode for $20+ Backers
- Mode activates an in-game guided walkthrough that gives you context for your decisions.
- Code will be given in the $20 post to activate this mode.
- Pubic hair toggle: you can now set whether you want your character to have pubic hair in the character creator. This checks if hair should be applied to Isaac in an animation or CG where our artists have added it.
Delete Save FilesThis feature was undone by my recovery, needs to be reimplemented- Bug report button in the main menu, now you don’t have to load into the game to open the feedback form
Changes
- We’ve now moved over from Yarn 3.0 to Yarn 3.2.7
- This was a long-time coming change, and was necessary to make use of the upgraded variable handling and storage, as well as opening up the use of new features we’ve yet to implement.
- Will also let us more easily handle name tags, so we can use bespoke nameplates and text colors for speakers – if you’re into that sort of thing.
- This is what, unfortunately, cause the huge lag in updating.
- Complete overhaul of the variable system to track player decisions throughout the game.
- Old saves will not be compatible, so a fresh save file is required.
- Sped up the automatic dialogue skipping even more. Twice as fast!
- Complete overhaul of the save system. All data is now written to a single file, which makes data management for saves much easier for us. Will allow us to set safeguards against incompatible save files further down the line.
- Save screenshots thumbnails are now much smaller, matching their size on the UI better. Won’t make a huge difference on save size, but it will let the save / load menu load in much faster.
- Reduced spacing between dialogue choices, and made the text slightly bigger. Should make the buttons more legible while still making it easy to click the right option.
- Added new icons for dialogue choices (paired with the new SFW indicator system)
Fixes
- Fixed issue with UI layering when certain other UI objects were visible on screen.
When saving the game in a Point-and-Click segment, the background wouldn’t get saved in some circumstances, meaning that the background would just be white when loading the game. This fix was undone, need to be fixed again.- Fixed the android icon. Should appear properly now when installed. Might be some variance depending on android phones.
- Fixed a bug where a character yapping wouldn’t stop yapping when the next dialogue line presented. That would make it look like a character was speaking even when it wasn’t their line.
- A host of under-the-hood fixes that doesn’t impact gameplay, but helps with stability and scalability for programming
*We are still working on this build at the time of posting this, so it may change a bit.
Contents of the Build
We announced it previously, but since we are now trying to push out a build a month, not all builds will be created equal. Our goal is to bounce back and forth between big and small builds. Since we finished the bulk of Episode 1, we are using this build as a buffer to start working on Episode 2 while also adding important features that we’ve been too busy to add.
The biggest change in this build is the script refresh. Our new writer, Frisbee, and I went through Episode 1 and vastly improved the dialogue and word choice. We wanted to keep refining, but there needed to be a stopping point, so we hope this is the last time we mess with this episode. We added about 9k words, so this is the second-largest word update in the Unity life cycle. Many scenes have been expanded, reworked, and some rewritten entirely.
We finally have the SFW and Guided Modes back in the game. We were very proud of these during the Ren’Py era and have been meaning to find a moment to add them in. $20 backers will find the code in the $20 post.
We also redid how our variables work so we could implement the gallery and Guided/SFW modes. Because of this, a new save will be required. We were hoping to couple the gallery with this to soften the blow, but that is taking longer than expected, so that should be coming soon in a hotfix.
Hotfix Plans
We had big plans for this update, but cascading events led to this first update of the month not being as feature complete as we would like. Not to mention our dialogue tool freaking out the day before the build was gonna drop, meaning any chance we had at getting these features implemented was shot out the window as Lotus had to scramble to find the dialogue scenes since they were just… gone?
So we pivoted to prioritize the Guided Mode for the $20 backers who get the build Week 1. We are planning to get the rest of these features released in a hotfix next week for the next update.
- The Gallery
- A screenshot button that saves a 1080p screenshot
- Improvements to the save system
- Version Checking
- Indicating on your save file which version it is from
- Save File Naming
- Lower Save Thumbnail size
- Add 4 Save Pages, 24 New Save Slots
- Version Checking
Known Bugs
- (Audio) Voice doesn’t play for some reason
- (Spine2d Characters) Characters do not animate between moods at the moment. The calls to set mood animations were lost and now I have to manually re-add them again.
- (SFW / Guided mode) The tags that signal to the script to indicate if a dialogue choice is SFW or not, or to apply a guide text needs to be fixed. Currently does not display in every option where it should.
- (Background) White flash on scene load because background images by default are white when no sprite is assigned to them.
- (Fonts) Need to create more separate fonts for which ones should have outlines, and which shouldn’t. If you change one, it changes for all of them.
- Fill out the report if you find some!
v015.4.1
Changes
- We now ask if you would participate in a feedback survey at the end-of-episode message from Rad. It’s not compulsory, but we thrive on feedback from the community.
- The intro blurb should be slightly faster to get through now.
v0.15.4
New Content:
- 6,729 words added. (28,720 total)
- Average reading time: 27 minutes.
- Reintroduction to a certain character
- Animated Sprite for 1 character
- 1 New Locations w/ 5 Backgrounds
- 2 Static Cinematic Moments
- 1 Animated Cinematic Moment
- All Hazel CGs are now animated
- 1 Lewd Scene
- New Music
- End of Ep 1
New Features:
- Reimplementation of the Android Adaptive Performance package to try to optimize the performance for a range of Android users
Changes:
- Changed texture import settings to (hopefully) make a lot of textures less blurry
- A huge rework of the code, integrating Spine2d for our characters. This enables us to be more flexible in how we implement our animated characters in the future and helps us address buggy behavior. Performance-wise, it will largely play the same, but you should hopefully witness fewer ‘janky’ animation transitions. Also allowed me to finally fix the notorious issue with Max not properly discarding the cigarette.
- Implemented two (2) missing animated CGs for Hazel at Cafe Estro
- This was supposed to be in the last update, but there was some miscommunication, and they were not ready yet. Now they are in the game.
Fixes:
- (android) Fixed a setting to make the intro splash screen disclaimer properly render on smaller Android screen sizes
- (android) Adjusted the loading screen to not bleed out on the sides of wide-screen Android monitors, which left the negative space with the edges painted by the loading screen texture
- Changed the physics settings on Spine2d characters that greatly reduce the impact of sliding on moving parts, so no more hairs and ties flying horizontally as characters move across the screen
- Removed unnecessary shadow casting of certain spine2d models
- Max’s cigarette finally stays gone!
- Issue with Receptionist not coming back rectified – related to scene loading
- Press H to Hide UI is back!
v0.15.0.3
- Fixed the issue where the player doesn’t show up during the Charlene VIP room scene.
- Set minimum targeted Android API to level 26 (Android 8.0 ‘Oreo’), down from Android API level 29 (Android 10). This should make the game compatible with Android phones from 2017 onwards. If we ever want to get this game on any app store, we will need to change it back to Android 10.
v0.15.0.2
- Linux port + MacOS port (assuming it works this time)
- Fixed issue with the wrong face colour being applied in the Max kissing scene, depending on what face type you selected in Character Creator
- Slight fix in how we retrieve player appearance for animated scenes. Won’t noticeably improve performance, but will make it easier to work with in the back-end
- Fixed player name being displayed in the dialogue box instead of the nameplate during the Max scene.
v0.15.0.1
- Android port
- Name error for Max scene (said POV instead of the player’s name)
- Redid the rendering system so the fade out does not black out the options menu button. There might be some graphical quirks left, but I ironed out as many as I could
- The game should now enforce a strict 16:9 resolution, which should stop graphical shenanigans in the case that you are using ultra-wide monitors or a square one.
- Fixed an issue with the loading screen so you couldn’t tell that it was actually loading. Now you should see some text that animates, giving you an idea of whether something is happening or if the game froze.
- Reduced loading times from Main Menu to Main Game by a homeopathic amount
v0.15
- Switch from the Ren’Py game engine to Unity.
- Game Reset to Episode 1.
- 9.5k Word Count.
- Two new characters: Max & Charlene.
- Lewd scenes for both.

- If the player is on bad terms with Jeze, they can still text in in Episode 6 as if nothing is wrong.
- If the player is on good terms with Jeze, but not sleeping with him, watching videos can lead to not paying Mr. Noto, and him bugging into the room.

Version 0.13 is out! Hoping its update comes here soon ;3
Can someone give me Backer code for this version??
When will the latest version come for mac?
Could be so good, but why is there no Gallery? Why only 6 save slots? Why cant I scroll back to see the animation again etc.?
So many quality of life changes that need to be done
There was a Gallery before, there were infinite save slots before, there was the possibility to scroll back before. Why would u take that all out just to patch it back in later??? Its unplayable like this
