New Features:

• Reimplementation of the Android Adaptive Performance package to try to optimize the performance for a range of Android users

Changes:

• Changed texture import settings to (hopefully) make a lot of textures less blurry
• A huge rework of the code, integrating Spine2d for our characters. This enables us to be more flexible in how we implement our animated characters in the future and helps us address buggy behavior. Performance-wise, it will largely play the same, but you should hopefully witness fewer ‘janky’ animation transitions. Also allowed me to finally fix the notorious issue with Max not properly discarding the cigarette.
• Implemented two (2) missing animated CGs for Hazel at Cafe Estro
• This was supposed to be in the last update, but there was some miscommunication, and they were not ready yet. Now they are in the game.

Fixes:

• (android) Fixed a setting to make the intro splash screen disclaimer properly render on smaller Android screen sizes
• (android) Adjusted the loading screen to not bleed out on the sides of wide-screen Android monitors, which left the negative space with the edges painted by the loading screen texture
• Changed the physics settings on Spine2d characters that greatly reduce the impact of sliding on moving parts, so no more hairs and ties flying horizontally as characters move across the screen
• Removed unnecessary shadow casting of certain spine2d models
• Max’s cigarette finally stays gone!
• Issue with Receptionist not coming back rectified – related to scene loading
• Press H to Hide UI is back!

v0.15.0.3

• Fixed the issue where the player doesn’t show up during the Charlene VIP room scene.
• Set minimum targeted Android API to level 26 (Android 8.0 ‘Oreo’), down from Android API level 29 (Android 10). This should make the game compatible with Android phones from 2017 onwards. If we ever want to get this game on any app store, we will need to change it back to Android 10.

• Fixed issue with the wrong face colour being applied in the Max kissing scene, depending on what face type you selected in Character Creator

• Redid the rendering system so the fade out does not black out the options menu button. There might be some graphical quirks left, but I ironed out as many as I could
• The game should now enforce a strict 16:9 resolution, which should stop graphical shenanigans in the case that you are using ultra-wide monitors or a square one.
• Fixed an issue with the loading screen so you couldn’t tell that it was actually loading. Now you should see some text that animates, giving you an idea of whether something is happening or if the game froze.
• Reduced loading times from Main Menu to Main Game by a homeopathic amount

Known Issues
These issues will be fixed in v0.13.4

• If the player is on bad terms with Jeze, they can still text in in Episode 6 as if nothing is wrong.
• If the player is on good terms with Jeze, but not sleeping with him, watching videos can lead to not paying Mr. Noto, and him bugging into the room.
