Remake Release   

So, I’ve decided to wrap up what I have and release it.

I could spend another 3–4 weeks polishing and adding more content, but at this point I really want to see if I’m moving in the right direction. I need real feedback from people actually playing the game rather than continuing to work on it in isolation.

There are 1,374 renders, 11,579 words, and a few animations in one particular scene.

The plot has mostly stayed true to the original, with some significant changes and additions. Emily received a major rewrite, July has a new model and expanded content, and Lisa also received expanded content. The dialogues have been rewritten as well.

Because of these changes, old saves will not work with the remake. It’s essentially a new game.

You will probably notice some imperfections, particularly with lighting and textures in scenes where I created the environments myself. I’m still learning, so some of those areas aren’t at the level I ultimately want them to be. I decided it was better to release the build and get real feedback than spend another few weeks trying to polish everything in isolation.

As of now, this is not the complete Chapter 1.

The pool party from the original is not included yet, and I also plan to add the VIP section in a smaller update later.

I also wanted to address some of the issues the original had, particularly the lack of SFX and some limitations on the UI side.

The remake now includes:

• 5 fonts to choose from
• Dialogue box opacity setting
• Text size adjustment
• Text border thickness adjustment
• Option to hide the toolbar
• Named saves
• Option to disable gameplay notifications
• A small button in the bottom-left corner for viewing stats and activating cheats

So, this is where I’m at with the remake right now.

I could keep working on it for another few weeks without knowing whether I’m actually improving the game in the ways that matter. I’d rather release what I have, let people play it, and use that feedback to decide where to take it next.

I’m definitely nervous about releasing it, but I think it’s time to let the game out of my hands for a while and see how it feels from the other side.
