Contents:
+1.000 dialogue lines (sitting now on 17.000)
Grassmere Introduction
(inside Chapter 1, compatible with previous saves, while some conversations will make less sense in that case)
-Grassmere Arrival Scenes
-First Freeroam conversation and events (Rest will be on 0.30 Release (next major release after 0.25). Grassmere conclusion will come with 0.30.
-All Grassmere Resource trading and inversion (can be resource hungry!).
-Content on Grassmere is sparse as is only the intro (around more than half hour for everything), But all freeroam Code is ready for 0.30 so that’s a headstart. Also, many variant scenes on already existent renders will be added.
Important Changes
Since the start of Chapter 1, you can visit Penketh and Grassmere. Kaelkirk and Hartlepool still won’t be available until you finish Chapter 1, getting the loyalty of Penketh (that is as before, but now getting max affinity is possible in each path, with different rewards on each path).
New Features:
-Fully fledge Playing Tips. Playing tips (if the option is on) will open a pop up menu with the relevant information about general gameplay (and some strategies) during Chapter 1. You can still check all the playing tips at your leisure accessing from Menus.
The playing tips are meant to explain All mechanics to players that had not followed all BFL development.
-Fully fledged Loyalty System. You will be able to see your current loyalty from two out of the four possible game wide loyalties.(Menu is a bit WIP, but functional)
Resources:
-Beyond 0.24 new resources exchanges and conversions, these tips are important for last versions:
-Second unit of wood can be turned into paper if Leffrin wood wasn’t used (only one unit of paper can be produced on Leffrin, one unit of wood will be always used for Akros Manor progress).
-More Resources conversion have been added (Like Pelts in to Leather or Unused Meat Shipments after Hartlepool conclusion into extra Food Provisions)
-An additional cost for adquiring Red Silk is having finished Seiki Quest or have “gained some trust” with the Silk traders “in other way”.
-There are now two wilcard items (one new) for humor boosts with specific people. For example, Gold Tunstead Wine can be gifted either to Baralis, Belinda or Tsveta, for different quantity of humor boosts. (you’ll know the possible gain before taking the decision of making the gift).
General Known Bugs:
-Temporarly, you can’t name the saves. (but all the Load Preview Data should help with that)
-Hartlepool Frontal Attack Sprites still need fixing
0.21.c changes
-Fixed Meanwhiles code to avoid all related bugs.
-Improved Armies Menu
-Improved Map Menu (Shows merchants, resource converters, quest givers, etc)
-New Settings Options: Show Stats & Inv & Relations during conversations. You’ll be able to check your stats, quests, paths, inventory, resources, armies, documents, Relation levels and Romance trackers on those difficults choices you make. (On by default). Only caveat for now is that inventory don’t show text. But you can see current Treasury and Food provisions.
-Put a failsafe so people don’t bug themselves having Scrolling Text Sounds On but Scrolling Text Off.
-3 renders fixed.
Known Bugs:
-Some sprites (Lia and Emilia) may dissapear on Gypsy Camp after Minerva Day Scene. Doesn’t affect gameplay.
0.21.b changes:
+More little bugs fixed
-Some QoL changes on Kaelkirk (Rest outside Asheligh cabin, Rest at Castle during day, auto handle all relics on conversation)
-Improvements on Save game naming
-Incompatible video encoding with new Unity version fixed (for any instance I knew of, if you find stuttering videos, tell me)
-More fixes from the engine change to working condition (everything?)
-All menus on working should be on working order
-Added more Save game preview info.
+40 tweaked old renders
0.21.a changes:
- 0.21 LTV (Long Testing Version) Changelog:
- Not a content update! I keep working on 0.25.
- Not Compatible with previous saves!
- Big Performance Improvements:
-Overall. Less menu glitches, better general performance.
-Incorporation of Intro, Prologue, Leffrin and Penketh to the Addressable system, meaning next Steam versions downloads will have less weight, and with corresponding VRAM savings. None of those scenes consume more than 1gb of VRAM. Hartlepool is still a bit of an VRAM eater. - Bug fixes:
Loads, and loads, of little bug fixes, plus: - In 0.19 a little engine update introduced a really bad bug about humor changes, so real value changes didn’t were what were supposed to be. That’s why Baralis for example gave problems. That bug basically rendered some story progression hard or impossible to get.
- -Levies Upkeep dialogue calculations fixed.
- -Travel map filters work again
- -Mina prologue anims fixed
- Location Headers left on screen if travelling out too fast
Story Fixes:
- Fixed Robin progression on all paths and options (there were some specific blocks on very specific paths and choices). Also some little fixes in all Penketh paths.
– Robin table day scene getting broken if tried to start with less than 300 lewdness. - Mina last lewd step available again.
Changes & Improvements:
- Loading game Preview info: It will now show Patrik’s stats and Baronnies Affinity when hovering over a saved game, as well as some Save defining choices made (like penketh or hartlepool paths taken)
- Relations Menu: Now there is a numeric value to know exactly character’s humor. Added some missing characters
- Font Switch: You can now choose between the classic BFL font or an Easy Read Font (Only on cutscene settings menu. It has its caveats in order to activate it, if interested, read the instructions in game.
- Hidden Text chaged:-When Hiding text (H), it will automatically unhide when a new dialogue appears. I’ve not put an option to cancel this, ’cause the Hide text feature only provokes false bug reports if leave it as before.
- Many conversations recoded to improve future coding. (Testing warning! check everything)
- Speed modes blocked on map.
Other stuff:
–Remastered a few prologue renders + Improved/fixed around 100 renders on Katerna, Liliana, and Penketh.
-Added 8 new Steam Achivements
-More than 150 typos corrected
0.20.c Changelog:
-Gypsy camp shenanigans fixed
-Some really old content found a bit buggy and fixed
-Added the missing shortcut on the green portal
-Three first romance trackers coded. May not be perfect yet but are a great improvement for the game.
-Cross fingers this is a good one. (but I’m a bit rusty so…)
Known Bugs for 0.20.d (already fixed for 0.21/0.25)
-Map filters not working well (not saving)
-When talking of levies upkeep always says “unknown”.
– Some anims on Mina’s prologue don’t trigger when expected.
0.20.b Changelog:
-Fixed some graphical bugs, and some minor corrections.
-Fixed some quest trackers.
-Added final scene (report to Irena) (+34 renders)
0.20.b Known bugs:
-Nothing gamebreaking
-Some typos have been informed that I’ll fix
-Some gypsy camp freeroam problems, (an Emilia unique scene repeats twitch, some conversation with Minerva can go wonky in a very specific set of circumstances…) nothing than leaving the area and return wouldn’t fix
-Some misplaced Document pic.
0.20a Changelog Initial release:
Content and Quickstart:
650+ still renders
60+ video animations
+other animations
+2500 new dialogue lines
(Sitting at 16.064 dialogue lines now total)
Kaelkirk Main Quest complete:
Once Vael gave you the quest (that you probably got earlier), head to Duston villa’s forest. Along your quest, you’ll “replay” some scene various times. Don’t skip them for the second and third time at least, as the text changes significantly. It is a little wit puzzle to solve… And probably you will be entertained during it.
Main Story finish when reporting to Irena.
Chapter 2 Penketh Finished.
(Dexter introductory scenes, more Robin scenes, Full market, Full church interactions and unique scenes)
Chapter 2 Gypsy Camp Finished
(Lia, Emilia and Minerva Progression)
(To continue, taking in consideration you have progressed already at max possible level, talk with Emilia. Progressing in the gypsy quest will take you to Kaelkirk too). Knowing how to progress is easy. With this update, only a final progression (that will be included as extra content in the next updates) with Minerva will be available in chapter 2.
- Technical/Others:
New mechanic: Game tracks if is an Odd or Even day. This will allow a bit more complexity on lively places. For example, in up to date progress with Robin, robin will be at the tavern during day time on Even days.(Less extenuating than a full week schedule). So when finally all Robin scenes will be available, on odd days she’ll be in the market, and in even days in the tavern. Will be helpfull when some Hubs become quite busy with characters.
New humor mechanic: Sometimes you’ll get Plus or Minus humor with someone without a direct conversation option; That’s because that result is the accumulation of several previous conversations options (So a plus can be given with 2 of 3 “correct” answers, for example.
More Applied mechanics: It already happened before, but it will more common now as we keep progressing advancing in the story; high stats (400+) will often change Sir Patrik dialogue. After Chapter 2, beyond Path stats, Path Choices taken will affect important options, but we’re not there yet.
If you feel like you’re doing something wrong, like only have 300 lewdness when trying to unlock something of 400 lewdness+…. Unique lewdness gains go up to more than 700! That means you have a lot of scenes you haven’t seen or willingly refused.
Big Documents update: 90% non-updated documents finally filled, and many secrets unveiled (the oldest, oldest savegames, may lack many documents that are given on start a new game since some updates ago, but visiting Penketh will give you the missing documents).
PS:-Also good for refreshing lore when returning to the Luvian marches-
Current engine changes:
-Saving is now handled by a different CPU thread in order to not lag the game while saving (autosaving, etc)
-CPU multithreading to help performance.
Mechanics temporarly disabled (need work):
-The new romance tracker (Most of it, first three trackers coded and visible)
-The new camp system
0.19.e Hot Fix:
-One scene not triggering depending on certain choices.
-Some graphic issues
Other Changes:
Akros Manor:
-Added additional last repeateable Hall night Hannah scene to story-sense-fix with additional variable conversations if story has advanced in the cellar or not.
-Cellar Doors exiting to correct day times.
Introduction, Penketh and Leffrin:
-Vram consumption fixes on Introduction with a Remastered travel animation to video with more frame rate. Additional Vram consumption fixes on 13 scenes.
Others:
-Some grammar and typos.
-Tweaks and fixes on documents.
-Additional Hard Drive consumption reduction.
PS: Mother Special is ready. Took some extra time with the extra job, as is a part of a scene that will be included in-game too, So I’ll show some previews here
0.19.d1
Game Engine Changes:
-Vram fixes to allow Hartlepool, Pirate Cove & Remember Scenes to be playable on older graphics cards.
-Integration of new video-based animations instead of unity-frame animations (This have four effects, integration of more specific sounds for every animation, lower vram consumption, lower HD space consumption, and as I replace older animation with videos, lower general vram consumption for all the game, as well as longer frame animations on the animations yet to be remastered).
-Big UI reshape, closer to the final looks of the game. Also with the start of the Tooltip system. Now options will show a tooltip explaining what they do, but only a few are active right now (testing). New Romance Menu and Camp Hub worked on but not included yet for various reasons (Like release speed, will be active on 0.20).
Story Content:
20+ new long frame animations
200+ new stills
600+ new dialogue lines
4 old and new girls to advance in.
While the goal of the update was performance, This update includes:
-An Alternative Reality story based on some weeks before the arrival of Sir Patrik to Hartlepool about an old friend of us.
-A new ingame (hidden) quest with choices, conflict, with two new girls fun.
-The Old Tower conclusions.
It is a small update on content but longer than other small updates and fun-content packed.
Bugs/Fixes:
0.19.b3 Updated:
Problems on some saves not allowing a quest start.
0.19d1 Updated:
-Some fix on the new UI
-Some scene not been able to be repeated
-Added Journal entries
Known Bugs:
– None. UI could have more tweaking.
Play Notes:
-Old Tower content after finishing any Canary Trail paths.
-Hidden quest available after visiting the Porthouse for the first time and talking with the Silk Road at the south docks.
-South Docks are now selectable at night. They come into play in the final parts of the new hidden quest.
-New Alternative Reality scene is included in the appropriate menu.
