Overview

Whoremonger NTE is a story about redemption and new beginnings. It’s a story about a protagonist who has suffered a serious injustice and who has lost almost everything in his life. Where does he go from here? Who is he? What kind of person will he become?
Our protagonist was a normal, boring father and family man, until the one he loved betrayed him and took a freight train through the middle of his life. Five years later, he gets to start over. Will this change him? Will he try and rebuild that old life? Or will he make a totally new life for himself?

In Whoremonger NTE (New Testament Edition) you can help him decide what path to walk, as he starts life over and searches for something special in his life.​

Act 4.3.1:

Make sure you have version 4.3.1 as I fixed two small bugs after I pushed the first version. One was just the wrong version number in the code and the other was I forgot to make a default value for a variable used in Act 4.2 before, and which could throw an error at the end of this update. Both are fixed now in the 4.3.1 builds. Also, there’s two gallery images that i forgot to unlock in the code. Maddie’s 48 and April’s 35. I’ll fix them in 4.4.

Bugs fixed:
– added flag to unlock Holly in the character screen when you first meet her (Forgot to add that in 4.2)
– added flag to unlock Alice in the character screen when you first meet her (Forgot to add that in 4.2)
– added flag to unlock Viktoriya in the character screen when you first meet her (Forgot to add that in 4.2)
– fixed a typo on the shop keepers name way back in Act 1
– fixed a formatting error for one of the laundry day scenes in Act 1
– added default value for a variable used in Act 4.2 in regards to Olivia’s blackmail attempts. This could cause errors in some places where that variable was checked.
– character formatting fixed for Miss Beckman, the school detention monitor from Act 4.2. She was mistakenly using the formatting for a male speaking character. Changed that to the female version.

New Build Archive Size is 1.43 GB (100mb over Act 4.2)

Note 1: The final spell check was not completed and there’s at least 5 small typos that I corrected in the project master but haven’t pushed yet. Still, feel free to report any you find as I most likely missed a few more. They’ll be fixed when 4.3 comes out.

Note 1: Fixed an issue when you first met Agnes but were not on Laura’s path, and then later in the story, Agnes and Laura are friends, with no explanation on how they met. That’s covered now on Day 19 for new play-throughs.
Note 2: Fixed an issue where you might have started a lewd path with Lian, but didn’t set her Lust or Love path later in the story. If that was the case, when you first play Act 4.1, you should get a menu to choose the proper path you want. New play-throughs won’t have this problem.
Note 3: Fixed a possible code bug where some gallery images might not have been shown in the gallery.
Rearranged the order of the Galleries and added a “Misc” gallery for images of side characters and things that don’t fit in anu of the other main galleries.
Note 4: New Build Archive Size is 1.25 GB (PC)

Act 3 – Part 2 Beta:
– 8 New Scenes

– 21 New Animations (3527 Frames)

– 35,000+ words (total now is ~140,000 words)

– Corrected some french phrases to be more regionally accurate.

Note 1: New build archive size is 1.12 GB (PC version)
Note 2: Unlike Part 1, every path choice has new lewd content this update. For example, just in the one scene where Mark has date night with April, I had to make 7 different versions, to cover the multiple path choices players may have picked.
Note 3: In the scene where the C/O Juliette comes to visit Mark, I didn’t have time to flesh out the lewd parts, so they will be added in the first part of Act 4. Might be useful to do a save at that scene so you can go back and see what I add.

Act 3 – Part 1 Beta:
7 new scenes (depending on path choices)

15,450 words (total for project so far is ~103,000)

Even with all this content, the build distribution is still under 1GB due to using nearly lossless webp’s and webm’s for pictures and movies.

Act 2.01 Beta – Continuity Update and Bug Fixes
Story Fix:
[*]Added a short bridging scene where if you had blocked content with the GILF Laura, and had checked up on Agnes alone on Friday morning (Day 19) then you would learn later that Laura invited Agnes to stay on her couch as she didn’t think it was right her to be all alone in the basement. This should smooth out some continuity issues where Agnes and Laura seemed to know each other when you hadn’t seen them meet yet. The other reason I needed to add this little bit was because I originally had plans for scenes with Agnes in the basement, but I changed my mind and in a future update, Agnes is instead going to be moving into that last vacant apartment in the building.
Other Fixes:
[*]Fixed issue where Olivia mentions an event you never saw, when dropping Maddie off for school on Day 19
[*]Added the option to turn lewd content Off for Olivia in that same scene. If you chat with her, content stays on. If you choose to not chat with her, you’ll lock her out of lewd content, although she still is in the story with Maddie.
[*]Fixed an issue where the MC thinks about a scene with the stripper even if they didn’t choose that event.
[*]Fixed a gallery image being incorrectly numbered when checking on Agnes in the basement
[*]Fixed two original Act 1 renders where the bat the MC used on Chuck cloned itself
[*]Fixed an incorrect variable on day 13 where dialogue depended on if you had sex with Juliette or not, when she visited you in your new place.
[*]Fixed several spelling and grammar mistakes.
[*]Fixed a couple of mislabeled speakers in dialogues. The correct characters are now speaking.

This is my first attempt at real animations. They will get better over time, I am sure.

Introduced the first cross-over characters. From now on, characters you named in any of my VN’s will be remembered in any other VN I make. So when I have them cross-over, the game will remember what you named them.

Note about Crossover Characters – Ren’py allows developers to add what is called multi-persistent variables that will be saved and accessible by any game or VN the developer wants. This makes it possible to play game A, for example, and then when you play their new game B, any characters that have crossed over will retain their names and any other stats the developer sets. This data is located in the same area of your AppData folder where all Ren’py games keep their saves. It’s in a sub-folder labeled “persistent”. So if you regularly clean out the Ren’py saves folder, you want to leave that persistent directory alone, otherwise you will lose this feature and then be forced to rename characters in new games (or be stuck with their defaults).

Started updating the side images again. All the characters being featured in this release have been updated. Characters from Act I will be updated for the next release.

Corrected some coding used by Ren’py’s Self-Voicing feature. The Game UI in the upper left will no longer be read
